I'm hoping someone can help. I was to research the history of an address. I know there is a website where you can search for info but I can't find the site and I don't remember what it was called.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Was it the Land Registry site?

http://www.landregistry.gov.uk/

At one time you could get alot of info for free but I seem to remember they hit problems with confidentiality and have restricted it....But you can do a property search for free.

There is - or was - a site called AncestralVillages. There might be something on there.
