Burial Records - Memorial/Monumental Inscritptions

Rosalind in Madeira

Rosalind in Madeira Report 26 Jan 2009 14:15

Here in Madeira there is a British Cemetery. The first graves dated from 1772, but records of these until 1803 were lost in a flood.
The original burial ground is now a car showroom, but the bones and memorials were moved to the present site. There are records of who is buried there, but they are not digitised. It has been mentioned that they should be and also photographs taken of the inscriptions. Has anyone undertaken anything like this?
