Is there anyone out there who knows, or can tell me where to find out what was at the above address in 1923.
I have a death certificate saying my ancestor died there, but his home address was 11 Pownall Rs, Shoreditch.

I don't know the area, but if you put the address into a Google search, ...it looks like it was the infirmary / hospital.

Off the top of my head I think it was probably the hospital attached to St Leonards Workhouse.

ooh - bookmarking this.

I'm sure one of mine died at 188 Hoxton St in the early 1920s. Need to check my paperwork but bells are ringing at the moment!

My rellie died there too in 1922.

Her mother registered the death and she was the one who lived at 188 Hoxton Street.
