If you mean a taxidermist, it's a person who stuffs animals as a way of preserving them I think.

I have done an address search on the 1911 census and the occupant of the house was a TASIDERMIST. Do you think it has just been mis transcribed.

I did the address search as in 1907 at this address an Aunt of mine had a child out of wedloclk and I was trying to establish if the house was used for un married mothers

I have not looked at the original image as it cost too many credits on the 1911 census.
I think it is probably a taxidermist
