Has this FREE site been mentioned before here. I uploaded my tree into it after a tip from a GR contact regarding a family name. But the real value of this site is that you can invite family members to view it. It's a secure system and visitors have to have an access code but it's all set up when you upload the tree.

Yes, it's very good for other rellies to see your tree if they have not got a family tree program.

My tree has been on their for the last 4 years for that very reason

Yes I've had my tree on there for 3 yrs now.
I pay for an upgrade, which gives me more photo space and no adverts.

I use it because I live overseas and have family dotted around the globe. It's an easy way of letting them see how the tree is growing...it also helps jog their memories to come up with snippets of information for me to add from time to time.

When my teenage nephew had a project at school, it helped him enormously to be able to actually see the tree as he had previously found my list of names and dates a bit daunting.

P.S. I did one for my sis-in-law too as she has family in UK, USA and Canada, and with the Tribal Pages tree they can all access it .

On TP, when it comes to putting in text for each person, it appears that you cannot space or paragraph, but there IS a way to do it, and someone very kindly put up a thread on here about it. I shall look for it to nudge up.

I cannot find the thread explaining how to do different things with your text in your Tribal Pages tree. I have done a search but maybe it got deleted.

I know many enjoy this site, but I really struggled with it. My problem was importing from GR. all the dates were muddled up, I patiently redid them all then next time I imported the same thing happened. I just couldnĀ“t keep doing that every time I imported. Pity because I liked the format etc.
