FreeBMD says:
Marriages Dec 1908 (>99%)
BRIGGS William Hicklin Belper 7b 1355
PARKIN Emily Belper 7b 1355
WOODWARD James John Belper 7b 1355

Now the (>99%) means that essentially the whole quarter has been transcribed. Which means that the missing person is mistranscribed, with either another district, volume or page #.

Now all the 7b 1355s are listed as Belper, so lets count the Belpers with and without the 7b - they differ by 1 record.
BROMLEY Daisy Allen Bolper 7c 1342
Check the image - it does say BOlper 7B - send correct to FreeBMD (I've done this already - the source is "FreeBMD image").

So the problem must be bad page #s - the page range for this district is supposed to be 1287-1405
http://www.freebmd.org.uk/district-page-map-index.html

There is an odd one, correctly transcribed:
ALLSOPP Catherine Belper 7b 1905

Next, try a single digit mistranscription, i.e., 13x5 or 135x

STONE Harold Belper 7b 1305 [correct, but on his tod]

Marriages Dec 1908 (>99%)
BURGIN George Belper 7b 1315
CROSS Charles Henry Belper 7b 1315
Rainsford Emma Belper 7b 1315 [correct]
SLACK Alice Belper 7b 1315 [correct]
SLADE Alice Belper 7b 1315 [correct]

Marriages Dec 1908 (>99%)
GERRARD Charles William Belper 7b 1335
Oldfield Lily Emily Belper 7b 1335 [correct]
TAYLOR Louisa Belper 7b 1335 [correct]

The rest all looked OK. My guess is that one of the above is the missing bride, but there was an error in compiling the index, so we're pretty much stuck here. The only alternative ways of sorting this out is to check the parish registers (or the bishops transcripts), or else check out the local register office at Belper or its replacement to view the local index. (Registers now divided between Amber Valley, Chesterfield, Derby and Erewash districts.) The 1911 census might help too.

NOTE If you do discover a mistranscription, do click on the info button and send in a correction to FreeBMD.

Never that easy is it.

I did find a marriage in Belper that could tie into one of the births you found, but also other marriages that would tie with the Woodward Parkin births.

I did look at the entire people listed as married in Chesterfield in Dec 1908 and they are several woman with incorrect numbers. It may be worth looking into them

Re the second search, I looked for possible children for James John Woodhouse and Emily Parkin by searching on FreeBmd using the surname Woodhouse as the first suranme and Parkin as the second surname and came up with the following births which should mean the missing woman married William Briggs. You could check on the 1911 Census

Surname First name(s) Mother District Vol Page

I can't see the first list of people including Emily Hankin in 1909

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Births Mar 1915 (99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Woodward Ida E Parkin Belper 7b 1341

Births Sep 1917 (>99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Woodward Winnie Parkin Belper 7b 1014

If the fourth person hasn't been transcribed you could look for James in the 1911 census and see who he is with but this would only give his wife's first name.

The easiest way is to buy the marriage certificate.
