hello
i want to apply for a death certificate and the death took place in horden which register office would i have to buy from it is a pretty recent death and isnt on ancestry yet

thanks annie i did have a nose round earlier but came up with peterlee or bishop auckland

It would have been Durham Eastern Registration District up to 1974 but Registers now divided between County of Durham and Sunderland districts
