using the town or village name only? I have Ancestry and FMP.

You can use just the place of birth to search. it will show you everyone born in that place. If it is a fairly small village it is not too difficult. But is could take some time. This is on Ancestry

Thanks SJR. Do I do that just on the normal advanced search please?

Just put the name of the village in the keywords, & use county of residence.

Thank you both. I'd been trying to figure it out and thought you had to put a name in every time! D'OH!!!!!!!

I think it will take me a while, but hopefully I will come avross some possibles and can then cross reference with marriage records.
