in th 1950's my g uncle killed his wife then tried to kill himself. I have found the dpp papers and trial documents at kew. However obviuosly due to the size of these docs I cant afford to pay for them ( Cant access directly as I live abroad) So my question Are there any good searchable newspaper archives available online, I have tried a free search of the times online archive to no avail? Any suggestion?
Thanks
Gary

If you know where these events took place you can get in touch with the nearest library to there (most libraries have an email address - if you Google you should find it).

If you have an exact date for when the events took place it shouldn't take long to find a newspaper report and the library may be willing to do this for you and forward copies to you. Some libraries will do this without charge but others won't so it depends on which library it is and how helpful the staff are.
