I have quite a lot of details for my aged BIL (he's 82). I want to give him what I have gathered so far on paper.

I want to include the addresses they lived at, occupations and other information but don't want to overload him with pieces of paper that are difficult to link.

Any suggestions please as to how best to collate and present the info?

Thanks

Sue

hi sue

depends on how many people you've got really.

Could either do a page per person, or group families together?

if you number each person as well, it'll be easier for him to link people together

If you have the information on a family tree program then you could get in touch with:-

www.genealogyprinters.com

The owner of the site, Ron, is a member of GenesReunited and I'm sure he would be able to advise you on how to get the most information down on a single piece of paper.

Hi Natasha

There are 120 people (this includes the in-laws).

He's quite 'with it' but I know it will be difficult for him to follow the links unless they are marked in an obvious and easy to follow format.

Thanks Kath for that suggestion.

I am just tinkering with different colour paper for the direct line at the moment to see if doing that would make sense!

I feel as if I am swimming in mud!

oooh right that is alot of info!

i use my heritage to put my family tree info in and it gives me a book report of everything I put in, so I don't have the problem you're having sorry!

Dear Sue, just done something similar for my cousin. With about 500 rellies, so should be easily adapted to 120.

Stage one was a group of pages with her ancestors, and those of her husband, done using FTM, oh gee I must find it for you. She was thrilled to bits.

I included genealogy reports and census summaries. Sounds just what you need.

Would you pm me with your email address, and I'll show you what I did for her.

Margaret.
