J series are baptisms where only the males were extracted - see:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers.htm

If there's a source number listed at the bottom for the record that you can click on, click on that and it will tell you where it was extracted from.

Don't know what I series are.

Hi all

I am aware that submitted records are not so reliable as extracted records. But I have recently come across some that are not described in either way, as extracted or submitted, but the Batch Numbers begin with either and "I" or a ""J". What do these mean?
