'Tis true, leave a message somewhere and someone will come along and pick it up (let's just hope it's in time eh? LOL!!)

EG: A cousin of my dad's left a message on the Trying to Find board on this site about 3 years ago.

Along I come and out of nosiness I start reading that particular board, I find the message she left and hey presto I'm hooked on genealogy!!

No-one will know you're looking if you don't tell them - leave messages, but keep your contact details up-to-date. No good having an email address and then changing it 6 months down the line, no-one will be able to get hold of you.

Get an email address (say Google or a spare one from your ISP) which you use ONLY for family history and keep it forever.
