Thank you somerset man, I am gonna give that a try. Her husband wasn't mentioned on the registration, so I did a comparison for her husband and there was a match, same quarter, same place, same year and same page details only differnce was the image numbers that they scanned, 1 digit apart (00364, 00365). So do you think my search was correct?

best wishes
Tracie.

Tracie

I had exactly the same 'problem' the day before yesterday!

Although the instructions aren't very cear they do say, something along the lines of, that they do a limited search based on the info given so you should provide as much as possible.

I just filled in the names of both parties, district, year, month range, volume and page number....As I would have done for a GRO certificate. I have a feeling they haven't updated their forms to take into account the new indices being more widely available.

I have sent of the form, 50p by air mail, and now have my fingers firmly crossed as it has taken me 6 years to find this marriage :)

Hi

I have just found the thread for Irish GRO records online and found my great grandparents marriage, after looking for some years.....
I then went to the Irish Gro site and printed of my application for a marriage cert. Only problem came that when I went to fill out the form it is asking me for an actual date for the marriage, when all I have is a quarter and a year date. Does anyone know how I can get round this?, or what to do next?

Thanks in advance
Tracie.
