My grandfather recently told me that one of his cousins Sylvia may have moved to South Africa when she was a young woman. Sylvia told my grandfather this around 1954 when she would have been about 20. Due to a family rift my grandfather never saw this side of the family again. Is there any way I can find out if Sylvia moved to South Africa?

Have you checked the passenger lists on FindMyPast? they go up to 1960.
What was Sylvia's surname? I can check for you if you like.

Sorry don't have access to find my past. Sylvias surname was Pearman and she was born in December 1934.

Thank you that does sound like Sylvia her date of birth is the 31st of December for whatever reason the year of birth has been changed it could have been Sylvia who changed it to appear older than she was.

Just checked the image, and it states address as 3 Miskin Tce, Miskin, Mountain Ash, Glam, S.Wales

Sylvias family are from Mountain Ash, Mid Glamorgan and some of her cousins were born in Miskin Terrace.
