I've been trying to find my way round the 1911 census and now I can find familes not just individuals

Jennifer,

I narrowed down the search using Ulverston in Residential Place so that just one Ada was returned. Then I put her name in the "Other members of the household" section. Then I put Fawcett or Woodburn in the Surname field to see who was living with her.

You are correct. There are these Fawcetts there too:

FAWCETT GEORGE M 1898 13 Ulverston Lancashire

This is for Portland Rose. I am intrigued as to how you found all those other names at the same place?? I am assuming you didn't pay for a Transcription so guesswork or some other tip for searching

Just out of interest, there wasn't anyone else living there was there? like a fawcett??? I can't find the lists on the web site, only the single name for ada woodburn?

You'll only have to pay for looking at the transcription or the actual record. You can search for free!

Hi all
I am probably being a bit dim, but how do I search the 1911 census without paying to another site? I am searching for ada woodburn, born 1910 ulverston lancs but I can't find the 1911 census on here??
