Hi Vicky,

I suspect she is Selina Rhodes. If you use the Advanced search and input just 'Selina' and 'Straw hat maker' she is the only name that comes up.

My 2 x gt grandmother was Selena Lewis born 1846 in St Peters, Hertfordshire. She was a straw hat maker.

In 1901 she was mis-transcribed as Selina Fillo and was a boarder in St Albans. She had 5 illegitimate children, 4 of which were living not far from where she was boarding.

I can not find her anywhere in 1911. I have found all 5 of her children which are all married by now and she is not with them and I have her death cery from 1924 and she lived in St Albans, so she didn't die between census'

I don't expect anybody to use their own credits, but if anybody can find any possibilities I'll have a look myself.

Thanks for any help in advance,

Vicky X
