Sylvia I have thought of that, so I just entered Reigate Surrey and all the names of people living there appeared but no Lilian Wallis or any variation of her name.

Mistranscribed on Ancestry as Lelian Wallde !!!

mistranscription of the name or birthplace would be the main reason

I have looked at the index for the 1901 census on FindMyPast for my Wallis family, searching under Lilian Wallis born 1895 and it appears she is age 6 in Reigate. Yet I cannot find her on Ancestry. Why is this? Any ideas please.
