Hi everyone.

I was just wondering whether it'spossible that the same ancestor can turn up on two different census records in the same year. I would have thought so, seeing as if he or she moved house etc, but just wanted to confirm or deny it.

They were supposed only to record who was sleeping in that house on that particular census night, but sometimes if someone who was normally there happened to be away from home that night, they can end up being recorded as being in two places at the same time.e are lots of examples of this.
