My Great Great Grandfather was General Manager between 1818 to 1901 @ Co-Op Store in Hetton Le Hole, Durham

I beleive the address may have been Store Terrace, Hetton Le Hole or been Brick Garth.

Basically im wondering if there is a history site of Co-Op store pictures, details, listings ? Would be great if I could find a picture of the store front.

thanks.

I found the link http://archive.co-op.ac.uk/background.htm

but even clicking around that site there wasnt much information at all.

If you know a better archive? with a search facility rather than some co-op college as the one above seems to be I would be grateful.

yeah I checked that website out from the 2nd post when it was mentioned. but I wasnt really impressed.

Im guessing I'll have to contact them with details - as I couldnt find any search facility at all on the website... unless you can point me to it?

thanks
