I got a copy of the newspaper article relating to my Grandmothers suicide from Waltham Forest archives. So the guy there found the fiche, copied it twice, posted it out and then posted the receipt all for £1

I believe that this site - see below, please - would cover Plaistow. It gives an email address.

Happy hunting.

If you contact Newham Archives and local studies, they may for a small fee copy the relevant newspaper articles for you. There is very little chance of the Coroners report surviving.

I am trying to find some more detail on my gt grandfathers suicide. Having read some other threads apparently you can get as much info from the local newspapers as you can from a coroners report. My gt grandfather died in 1922 in Plaistow West Ham, does anyone have any idea what newspaper of the time thsi would have been reported in and where I could find the archives? (i am not local to London) and also where the coroners report would be held?

If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be most grateful

many thanks
Laurinda
