How can I find any record of my Uncle (Herbert Tripp) who was a football referee (in the professional game) in or around late 40's and 50's. I've approached the FA and the Proff. Referees Association and neither have offered any help.

He lived at 11 Penpole AVen ue, Avonmouth, nr Bristol. If anybody can shed any light on him for me I would a\ppreciate it.

Sarah,

When was he born and when was he last heard of? Have you looked through death records?

Perhaps you should add him to your tree on this site. Can't hurt.

Someone called David has him on his tree.

Than ks Rose

I think you have him exactly for me (Herbert Tripp).

Anyone -

I would like to find out more about his role as a professional football referee in the 40's and 50's. Who would I contact for that in formation?
