Hi all,

I don't want people to spend credits, i know it is expensive to buy transcripts and household originals (because i've unfortunatley spent far too much already! lol)

i am just having difficulties finding my relative. i beleive i have tried all the things the family is usually mistranscribed as but i still can't seem to locate him. I have had help to find him in other censi in the past and with help managed to find out he worked as a ship steward so wasn't around for the census' probably due to that. but by 1911 i think he was probably retired/ working in a pub.

his name is Charles Henry Gannaway. born August 1850. his wife is a mary and i beleive she was born in lambeth in around 1865. they married in southampton. in the 1901 Censu Mary is in Southampton with Charles two sons Sidney and Frank Gannaway.

in 1915 when his son joined up, charles address is given as Hintonwood house, red cliff, Bournemouth. so i beleive he was probably either in southampton or bournemouth but i can't find him.

Any suggestions for what to look for him as would be really appreciated. i just think my brain has ceased to function where he is concerned.

thanks,
Leanne.
