Well, the seller has good feedback.

I'd be interested to know what the URL is and why you only get 3 months. 122k records is nothing for all the different sources listed. I doubt you'd find any ancestors.

Here's the description:

You will have access to two Searchable Databases, with a total of over 122k entries. They contain names, dates, places, sources, and further details of material from all over the UK, but mostly England, with several counties well represented.

Material used is not/not easily available elsewhere, from sources such as: photographed gravestones, Bibles, memorial cards, bookplates, parish magazines (over 46k entries), exam board results, church booklets, school magazines, directories, military rolls (nominal, honour), passenger lists, old newspapers, tributes, letters, invoices, biographies, articles, diaries, postcards, certificates, programmes, books, various documents, etc.. A wide date-range is involved, but most of the material falls between the mid-Victorian period and the early 20th century.

With this information, you could perhaps find a missing ancestor, or discover something extra about a known one! This is very useful resource for the serious genealogist; especially the one-name specialist.

The Databases provide all the basic info about the entries, but should you require further info in the form of a digital image or a full transcription, it might in some cases be available at a nominal cost (£0.50 per Enquiry; min. payment £2.00). This way, you pay only a small sum to have a huge amount of original material at your fingertips, then only pay a little extra for each further Enquiry when you identify an entry of particular interest. You might, for example, wish to see an ancestor’s baptismal entry in a Parish Magazine, obtain an image of someone’s In Memoriam Card, or acquire a full transcription of data presented in a Family Bible.

Besides the Databases, there are some Further Resources and Related Articles. Again, images are charged as before. (In the case of Articles, two pages constitute an image). And remember – new material is regularly being added to the Databases!

For £3.00, you will get three months’ unlimited access to the Databases.

General enquiries about coverage can be made before commitment.

Just been browsing the Family Bible section on eBay and noticed this posting:
PARISH MAGAZINES, FAMILY BIBLES, IN MEMORIAM CARDS, Etc.
Online Access to Unique UK GENEALOGY DATABASES
Buy It Now : £3.00
Having read the description underneath of how much you have to pay for viewing transcriptions etc., it makes me wonder how you can sell something like this on eBay.

Can someone have a look at it and tell me if it is ok.
