Afternoon all,
I have just got back from my local records office, still trying to track down my elusive gg uncle.
They suggested war or state pension records.
Any idea where I would start looking for these?

Thank you very much.

Ancestry has some WW1 Pension and Service records - less than half survive.

I would think state pension records are confidential.

Would you like to post a name and birth details.

Thanks Potty.

The man in question is Stanley Malcolm Robert Gardner born 25th August 1888 in Broadwell, Oxon.
I lose all trace of him after about 1960 when he retires.
