Have you found him in 1911? There should be details about how many children his mother had.

Hi

If he was born in 1903 then there is nothing showing on ancestry.

Do you have the birth cert for your Grandfather Robert Lindquist? I believe that if the time of birth is shown on the cert - (England - time is always on Scottish cert) - this would confirm that he was in fact a twin ( but don't know if this has always been the case). Don't know if this will be of any help?

Otherwise, could the twin have been registered in the next quarter?

Twins usually have the time of birth recorded on their birth cert, is there one on your Grandad's?

My Granfather, Robert Lindquist, told us that he was a twin and his brother was taken into Barnados at birth and later adopted possibly by a banker from Golders Green. They are then said to have moved to America.

I have checked the birth records on the same page as his entry but there is no evidence of the twin so he must have been registered separately at a later date.

Is there any way that I can find out about babies born on the same day in the same hospital. I don't even know his name but generally the family have used a handful of names passed through the generations so I would probably spot it if I saw it, assuming he was named by his parents.
