duplicate names in marriage register.

You are right Edwin. I did that so that we would all be the same name on the birth cert. We married as Mr G and Miss G, then I became Mrs G, when our son was 5 months old and christened him at the same time.

Well ...................... it saved on the cost of two bun fights. The family were all coming from afar for the christening so we thought we might as well make it a double do and save them the long journey all over again lol

Should you find that your relative (male) has wed someone (female) with the same name,dont get disspondent and think you may have found an insest marriage.The lady will probbably have concieved out of weddlock,and in order to give her child its correct name,changed her name by deedpoll,prior to marriage at a latter date . (Coincidences do of course happen.) Happy hunting
