I am new to this. I want to order a certificate but don't know where to start could anyone help

Hi Jenny, go to this site and check it out. This is the best place to order certs. Never pay more than £7

You need the Civil Register index num. You can try to find what you want from FreeBMD. You can also order from local offices, Google the place you want and find their cert ordering dept. and look at what info they require. Weddings are more difficult as they usually want the place of marriage. I have over 30 certs all ordered from the GRO site as above.
