There are transcriptions of Brinkworth Baptisms on this site:

thanks for your advice - it s proving very expensive for me to research my Strange family ancestors as they all appear to be from Wltshre / Gloucester boarders and am n Eastbourne!s there a way of someone looking up data for me in that area perhaps?

No, I dont think you should hire a genealogist who will only look at all the sites available online.
IGI records are generally taken from parish records which you can look at via one of their centres nearest you but it will have to be by appointment so they can make the records available for you.

hello everyone,

please can someone adviise me - whilst researching my Strange family on IGI and Family Search, it would appear someone has already done lots of my family research already.

For example - my ancestors from the 1700's are listed as:

Father: Anthony STRANGE
(AFN:1XZW-6HS)

Mother: Susanna BEAKE
(AFN:1XZW-6J1)

Can someone please advise me how trustworthy I should treat these reference numbers?
How can I double-check the validity of the reference numbers, or perhaps even look at the orignal transcripts of my ancestors?
Would you suggest I still hire a genealogist to search through parish records to verify the data?
thanks everyone, as always
