where to order birth cert's from?

Hi Linda,
I never, ever use GRO unless I really can't get the cert from the relevant Register Office.
GRO takes ages, especially if there's a series of 'Who do you think'....on, then it can be 4 or 5 weeks or more.
Also, GRO take your money even if it turns out to be the wrong cert, whereas most Registrars will kindly check other details for you and only take your £7 if you say you definitely want that particular cert.
Plus, most Regsiter offices will post your cert by return!
No contest as far as I'm concerned. Only use GRO if the cert is unavailable elsewhere is my advice!
