Can anyone tell me if there is a newspaper archive in the records office in Bangor North Wales.

I don't think that there is a Records Office in Bangor, it is in Caernarfon. Try contacting them:

Hi Sam.

Thanks for the info.

The reason for the request is that an Uncle of mine committed suicide on a railway line in the Bangor area in 1946 and info I've received gave me the impression that I could obtain his death certificate from the Bangor records office.
