missing in action

I also have some one I Can not find his death in any records, he was in the wiltshire local miltra in 1908 I need to go to Kew to look at his records,

Not a clue what happened prior to WW1, probably the person was just not recorded anywhere.

Thanks for the help. I have been searching for a death for somebody on here but had no luck so I thought that this might be a possibility as he was a soldier but prior to WW1

His death would not be recorded in the UK records, there would be no death certificate. Try the commonwealth graves commission website.

Dont really know the answer but if it's 7 years wait before presumed dead in UK, then same would apply to The Forces ?

Can anybody tell me if a soldier was presumed missing in action how long would it be before his "death" could be recorded
