If you want to find the children of John Grant and Barbara Snaddon, go to the IGI ... put the parents names into the top right corner.... give the Region and Country and all their children's names should come up. There are quite a few. Again, you may already have this information...but just in case...

Thanks for that, Helen. I'll be going back to the library to investigate William Hamilton & Jean Tulloch, BUT FIRST!!!!!
I may be on the wrong track with the John Grant & Janet Hamilton line anyway since my dad's Cousin, Archie Grant, thinks the line is Alexander Grant & Janet Lumsden! These would be the parents of John Grant (born 1753) of Carriden who married Barbara Snaddon (born 1760). Before I go off at a tangent chasing the wrong line I think I'd best check out Archie's theory first.

Janet Hamilton's parents:
In case anybody reads this, I went back to the library to view the OPR for Bo'ness. The parents of Janet Hamilton born 24 August 1716 were William Hamilton & Jean Tulloch. This REMOVES James Hamilton & Grizel Muir from my tree!!

I had noted the following re Janet Hamilton (though I haven't verified this information yet):
Janet Hamilton born 24 August 1716 in Bo'ness, parents James Hamilton & Grizell Muir.
HOWEVER when searching OPR records at the library, I came across the following:
James Hamilton Bo’ness OPR 663 “1717 – Hamilton – James Hamilton son to James Hamilton & Grizel Muir born April 11th & bap. 21st”
That means he was born around seven and a half months after she was! Makes me doubt that James Hamilton & Grizel Muir were her parents.
I found another possibility:
“Bo’ness 19th October 1717 – Hamilton – Jonet Hamilton daugh. To Arch. Hamilton & Mary Hall born Ocber. 19th & bap. Ocber. 22nd 1717”
If anyone has Janet Hamilton (who married John Grant) in their tree can shed any light, I'd be grateful for their input!
