Hi sorry been working non stop since Friday so first chance I have had to visit site...

William A Ingram 15
Charles H Ingram 12
John P Ingram 10
Ada G Ingram 6
Edith M Ingram 3
Eliza Preston 14

even the original looks like an "a"! but every thing else matches perfectly, how odd

but judging by the marriage in Canterbury that looks to be the one, I have no idea of places in Kent and distances.

The marriage cert will fingers crossed confirm either way.....

Thank you for the geography help and locating marriage details.
Any ideas as to the change from J to A and back again? unless of course she had 2 middle names as alot of that side seem to have even up to the present day.

Many thanks again
Corrina

If it is the birthcert of one of their children that you are waiting for, that will give you the mother's maiden name which should help you find the marriage.

Kings Norton is in the Midlands, so slightly nearer Cheshire than Kent.

I have a John B Ingram born c1845 who married a Mary A ?. I am trying to locate their marriage but where to start.. He was born Cheshire, she was born Kent, and they lived in Berkshire when they were married (1881), 10 years prior he was living with his mum so they would have been married (if they did of course!) between 1871 and 1881 ... their first child was born 1875 .. so on this assumption it would narrow it down to between 1871 and 1875.

I have found
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Marriages Sep 1873 (>99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>>Ingram John King's N. 6c 677
>>Nicholas Mary Ann King's N. 6c 677
Pinchin Robert Kings N 6c 677
SQUIRE Sarah Kings N. 6c 677

but have no idea how far this is from cheshire or Kent!

Surname First name(s) District Vol Page

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Marriages Dec 1873 (>99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CREASE Catherine London C. 1c 122
>>Ingram John London C 1c 122
Lilly Robert London City 1c 122
>>Waller Mary Ann London C. 1c 122

once again this is a bit far out, but london being close(ish) to Kent not sure

and
Field Kate Islington 1b 412
Goodyear John Islington 1b 412
>>Ingram John Islington 1b 412
>>MARSH Mary Ann Islington 1b 412
Parfitt Robert Alfred Islington 1b 412

Do you think it will be wise to get all the marriage certs or is there a solution? as I am still waiting on a birth cert (although I dont need it, it is just for my records) that I ordered about 3 weeks ago!

Many thanks
