Which Family Tree Maker version is the best?

Hi,
I am looking for something to print out Family Group Sheets and was hoping someone could tell me which version of Family Tree Maker would be best for this?
I downloaded Legacy 7.0 last night which seems to do what I am asking for, so do you think it would be a waste of money to buy FTM or does it do a lot more than Legacy (freebie version).
Many thanks in advance,
Kirsty

I prefer the Legacy family group sheets to the FTM one's.

What FTM will do that the free version of Legacy does not is to design and print out a range of different family trees, I have all versions of FTM, stick with the single CD version 16 (2006) , it will design a tree with everybody in your file on it, 2008 & 2009 will not.

Thank you Ron, that is very helpful. There seem to be so many versions of FTM around!

Kind Regards
