Could someone help please, I am trying to find Margaret Owens born c1849 in Liverpool. Her mother's name was Catherine Jones or Owens born in Carmarthenshire, Wales.
I am totaly lost on this one, so any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

It definatly is not this family, Catherine's maiden name was Jones. On the 1861 census her name is Owen, age 40 and a widow.
She had Margaret age 12, James age 8, and John age 6 all born in Liverpool.

Do you know when Catherine married Mr Owens? Is it possible she married after Margaret was born, and therefore Margaret could be Jones on the 1851 census? I have found a Catherine Jones in 1851, born Caermarthenshire living in Liverpool, employed as a servant, wondered if this could be her? If so, Margaret maybe living with grandparents.

I do'nt know when or where they married, but I do have a birth certificate for John Owens, born 28-01-1855 in Liverpool, it states that his father was Owen Owens a book keeper in a slate yard and his mother was Catherine Owens nee Jones a provision dealer. They were living at 12 Queen Street, Liverpool at that time.
