Divorce records at TNA actually go up to 1937.

To order copies, get the item up on the screen, then click on "Request this" This then gives you the option to request a quotation for copies.

For divorces between 1858 and 1927 nearly all the paperwork has survived and its stored at the national archives. You can search online at the National archives website in the J77 range, its indexed by name. If you do find what you are looking for at the NA then you can order and pay online and copies of the paperwork will sent in the post to you or you can download onto computer.

To search the national archives go to

http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/

click on tab called search the archives, click on catalogue. Click on search the catalogue, in the dept series code box type J77 and put the surname you are looking for in the word or phrase box. Use the date range to narrow down your results.

It very much depends on the date. Before 1927 there are recordsat the National Archives at Kew plus some later ones for London. Recent material is held by the courts.

It is possible to search for a name on the TNA catalogue but you need to visit Kew to see the actual record.

Ive found marriage details but I know they divorced a few years later but not sure exactly when
