Hope you find these useful.

Using websites for family history research.

British History online typed into search is a good starting point.

Also, Project Guttenberg which has thousands of books free to download.

Click on the online book catalogue then type in the area you are looking for in Title words, forget typing in the author.

You should then get some info up which you can click on. I find this a very good website.

If you are researching Birmingham for example just type in Birmingham and some really interesting titles come up with lots of advertisements and family names mentioned in the books too.
