1820 war????

Hi I have access to trees both on here and Ancestry who all say he died in 1820 in India and thats it. I want to be able to confirm this. I have emailed the individuals with no reply. Previously I stated he was born in Surrey apologies He was born in Aberdare.

How do you know about his death? Have you got some form of certificate?

Hi Rebeka

The British army was in India from 1760-1857 so he could have been in the army the 12th Regiment(Suffolk)
14th regiment(Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire)
65th Regiment(2nd Yorkshire (North Riding)
69th Regiment (SouthLincs)plus some of the Scottish regiments were in India during the years Henry would have been there
I have looked in the overseas deaths but can't find him

Hi I have an ancestor born in 1806 in Surrey but died in 1820 in Calcutta, India only 14 yrs old. None of his family seem to have been in India so i am thinking maybe he died in a war. DOes anybody know of any wars around this time, also if he did die in a war where could i find more information about him?
