Help needed with FreeBMD Marriage references plea

Kathleen,

You can usually see the original entry on freebmd and so with a choice of two you should be able to work out which is the one transcribed correctly.

It will cost you more than £7 if you don't put the GRO reference in.

I would go for his details as I think they may have mistranscribed the number.

Hi kathleen

That looks like a transcription error.

You can order the cert from the GRO without giving the reference number.

George Albert Gibbs, Edmonton 3a 781 Sep 1899
Sarah Lillie White, Edmonton 3a 761 Sep 1899

I have two different page and vol numbers for this marriage they are not just on the next page but twenty pages apart, I have never come across this amount of difference before. I know Sarah married a George Albert Gibbs, on her memorial card he is down as husband. Do I send for George’s using his Ref numbers and hope for the best.
