Hi Eileen

Facebook is where many people searching find loved ones, you can search there.

There is a thread on Chat called 'What's it like to meet up with an adopted sibling?' Tis mine ... I discovered I had 5 who had no idea I existed, found one long-lost adopted sister here on GR and wanted to know what it felt like to meet.

Gosh the thread grew ... we are like family. If you want to, come visit, I think I know someone who will be able to help you, give such good advice too. Tis a place where it is safe, lots of different stories, not everyone looking for siblings ...

I wish you such luck, understand what it feels like to be searching.

Take care my friend

Don't give up hope.
There are many threads on these boards about people's searches for half siblings....and there have been many successes too.
Type ADOPTION into the search keyword box above the messages on each board.
I have no practical experience to guide you, but you will find helpful information there.

Thank you very much for your help. I reckon her half brother will never find her then, such a shame.

I have a relative who was adopted in 1936 shortly after birth. I have her birth certificate but no trace of her since adoption. I do not know who adopted her or what agency was involved. Any tips on how I can find out?
