It is possible to search the TNA Kew Catalogue by name after 1844 for these records. I had a look and found ten or so Wagners but no Christopher. Before 1844 it all seems more difficult, but is covered in their Research Guide for Naturalisation

Is there any chance finding out when a person came over from Germany?? I have Christopher Wagner musician on 1861 census living in Bath listed as German naturalised british. However since we have no idea when he came to Britain we have hit a brick wall. Nothing on 1851 census but a family of Wagners on 1841 census all musicians living in Bristol and states they are from foreign parts, cannot find a connection but it seems that there could be. I know Kew has the lists for naturalisation but not sure how to narrow it down to dates to request anything. Any help or information would be appreciated I don't want to give up but really could do with some help
Many thanks.
