A kind GR member advised William Vaus and his family were living at Ford Farm in Albury, Surrey in 1841. I've checked google...could the 1841 Ford Farm be the same building that is shown (on google) for sale? It is a beautiful building.

All of my ancestors left England and Ireland prior to 1872. I've never seen where any of them lived. It would be wonderful to be able to picture where at least one family lived. Perhaps the family was living in a small building on the farm, and not in the main house?

William Vaus did have a will, and left three pieces of property and his equipment. I don't remember reading anything about Ford Farm, though. (He died in 1846.) Thank you for any assistance.

Can't be absolutely sure, but almost certainly it is.

Thank you, Dugless. When I have a bit more time today, I will have to thoroughly investigate (the sites I've found).

Nudging, in case anyone else knows about this area of Surrey, please? The internet is wonderful, but there's nothing like knowledge coming from someone in the area.
