Thanks everyone. It seems like everyone is satisfied. Might try and get a months free trial or a months free membership. Will give them a call and try and negotiate.
Will look on the other board's first and see if whoever is offering look ups can find anything for me.

We upgraded last month, hubby phoned them, & they gave us a months membership free, when we signed up for the worldwide.

I took the plunge and upgraded a few months ago and I am so pleased I did. It seems a lot of money but broken down it comes to less than £13 a month and, in my opinion, is worth every penny.

Could you try it out for a 2 week free period? Not sure if you can test an upgrade but it might be worth asking.

Failing that, there is someone on one of the boards today offering passenger list lookups ... maybe you might be able to work out from that thread if you would find it worthwhile. If the offerer can't find any/many of your relatives it probably won't be worth it. I suppose it depends on how many people you're looking for though.

Or, Findmypast have passenger lists don't they? It might be worth a few credits on there to see if you can spot a few of them.

Could anyone tell me if it is worth upgrading to Worldwide membership. I am at the stage where I think quite a few of my ancestors went to Australia and US and have come to a bit of a dead end without being able to access passenger lists etc. but it seems a lot of money at £155 Any comments would be appreciated.
