hi there,
Think he was born in 1900 as in the 1901 census he is 6 months. Think they could have lived in Elsecar or Hoyland, as my gran went to a local school in elsecar.

Wood, Westnedge(spelling variants) padley, parkin, coulthard, (Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, ) Jenkinson,Pashley, Moss (America) Meechan, Meehan, Mofatt, (Scotland and Ireland)

Both these lads are similar ages

Wood Arthur ..16 .. Barnsley 9c 349

There will be many parishes covered by the Barnsley registration district, so it would be hard to look up, probably.

Maybe there is a Yorkshire site which gives more details. I'm sorry, I don't know about researching in that area.

Hi there,
Have found what i think is the death of a Arthur WOOD in March 1917 Barnsley aged 16. Think this could be my Grans brother. Would love to know if the parents are John Wood and Lucy Wood. Does anyone have the records on CD and do a look up please, i would be most grateful. Then i can send of for his death certificate.
