Adding photo- help please

This is my first time posting and I am new to this but I tried to add a very old family photo today. It uploaded OK but cut the peoples heads off and feet! Is their anyway I can move the photo so that it shows their faces? Be grateful of any help. TH\anks

Have you tried resizing the photo before uploading it? If you're not sure how to resize give me a shout in PM.

Hi Rollypolly - you are not stupid - we all started not knowing much at all.
Somewhere there is a thread about abbreviations.

PM is Private Message. If you want to send a 'private message' for example to Judy93 click on her name and you will get a message box to type in. She will be alerted of this by email from Genes and it will appear in your 'sent messages' box and you will be able to see when it has been 'opened' by the recipient. Sometimes delay occurs, if people are in different time zones - or at work etc. You can send a PM to anyone via this method - it is mainly used if it is something you don't want everyone to read!

Having successfully added photos before, I tried it again, but instead of the photo appearing, all I got was a small red cross in a box. No matter how many times I clicked on it - nothing happened! What did I do wrong?

Researching:
Hill, Jewell - Cornwall. Langley-Shropshire,Cole, Neate -Wiltshire,Lott, Ewell- Kent.Punter, Gadd, Wapshott, White, Weston - Surrey. To say nothing of the other half's family!

Thanks for the help Judy 93. I have managed to resize it, but thanks again.
Also J near M3 jct 4 Thanks for your explanation. I no longer feel stupid. There are so many abbreviations etc to get used to and I am new t all this stuff, but thanks again.
