I am trying to find a way of obtaining a death cert of a person who died in London in 1818. Not only that but find her husbands death. The lady in question is Keila or Kitty or Katherine Cantor. I know there is a mention of her at the Great Synagogue but no date etc, as for her husband Aaron Jacob Cantor, I have no idea of how to preceed and find where he originally came from or what happened to him. Any ideas?
Thank you

There weren't any death certificates prior to 1837 in England. The best you can hope to find is a record of the burial - but I'm not sure where Jewish records would be kept.

Might be of interest.
I googled Jacob Aaron Cantor and it came up with an article of his 1921 death in the New York Times archives . He was born in 6th Dec 1854 New York to parents Henry and Hannah who were originally from London. I know its not your man but could be a relative.

This Jacob was a US congressman and there is a photo of him on the find a grave memorial site
