it is impossible to change information through GR

This is because GR does not have its own records, they just transfer you to other sites that do have them.

It is easy to change information on names on www.ancestry.co.uk ........ although making some other changes are still not possible.

Thanks Jill, I've done it on the 1911 census but not sure how to do it on the 1901 as I only have access through this site

There should be a box somewhere on the page for you to contact the site to let them know of any errors. Or maybe try the main page for the site ... I'm sure they want any errors reported so it ought to be there somewhere.

I've discovered the transcript for my great-grandfather's first name has been entered incorrectly. His name was Glorio but it's been transcribed as Gloria! eek!!!
Also, the transcription has omitted my grandma on the 1911 census, she's on the actual written page though.
Does anyone know if and how these can be corrected?
Thanks
