I am trying to find my great x5 grandfather in the 1871 census, but I'm getting nowhere, I know it isn't because he is dead as he does appear in the 81 census. His surname is Hydon, though on the 41, 61 and 81 census he is down as Hyden. I have tried other variations of the spelling including Heydon, but I just can't find him! Please if anyone can help me I would be so grateful.
His name is James Hydon, DOB approx 1816, born in Northamton and is a bricklayer.
I do however have his wife and family in the 71 census, but he is not living with them for some reason.
Please can someone help me!!

Keeley.

Thank you everyone for all your help. Seems it is the right James, with the age wrong! Thanks once again, I really appreciate it!
