Hi

I have a guy who is supposed to have gone to prison for "something to do with papers". How can i find out when, where and what for?

He is Henry G Jordan born in 1890 Mile end london living in Bromley in the 1901 aged 10. That's all I know!

Suggestions would be very gratefully receieved.

Cheers
Nicola

I think Old Bailey online covers up to 1914 now - you could check it out. I have several good cases for my lot - love reading their descriptions and their actual words in court.

Not sure what "to do with papers" could mean though? But certainly I found my GGF in 1907 as a victim of a fraud on there - he actually went bankrupt and committed suicide shortly after. Just I was thinking may be your handed down info meant some sort of fraud.
