House search

Can anyone tell me how I go about searching for a house? I used to live in Wellington House, as did my Father and my Grandfather, (all Bunnage). I am sure it was Victorian, and possibly a school when it was built. I haven't even got a picture of it, but I would recognise it, I lived in it until I was 8. It was down Wellington House Farm road, Ramsey Heights, Huntingdonshire, and was semi detached, the joining house was the school teachers abode. The railings were right for a school, and our living room came with a huge table belonging to the house, enough to seat a lot of people. It was demolished in the 1950's.

Have you tried a search on Google Images...It's amazing just what shows there sometimes.

I wanted a photo of my grandparents' cottage in a Welsh village. I'd visited many times, but realised that any photos only showed part of a doorway or similar. It was demolished c. 1965.

I phoned the landlord of the nearby village pub there and he agreed to display a postcard sized request for a photo.
A lovely old-timer from the village contacted me and I got my photo.

I hope you find what you need.
